Hair Transplantation

Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that moves hair follicles from a part of the body called the donor site to a bald or balding part of the body known as the recipient site. It is primarily used to treat male pattern baldness. In this minimally invasive procedure, grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to balding, like the back of the head are transplanted to the bald scalp. Hair transplantation can also be used to restore eyelashes, eyebrows, beard hair, chest hair, pubic hair and to fill in scars caused by accidents or surgery.

Biggest Walking Robot in the World

The largest walking robot measures 15.72 m (51 ft 6 in) in length, 12.33 m (40 ft 5 in) in width, 8.20 m (26 ft 10 in) in height and was made by Zollner Elektronik AG (Germany) in Zandt, Germany. It was displayed in Berlin, Germany, on 27 September 2012. Typically these machines are stationary, and the ones that do move on their own aren’t normally larger than your average person. But this robot can not only walk, but also spit fire.

Credit Card Frauds

Credit card fraud is the theft and fraud committed using credit cards. Although, credit card frauds are now limited to about 0.1% of all card transactions. But this has resulted in huge financial losses as the fraudulent transactions have been large value transactions. That means 1 in 1000 transactions can turn out to be fraudulent. Even with tremendous volume and value increase in credit card transactions, over the years these proportions have stayed the same or have decreased due to sophisticated fraud detection and prevention systems. But still many methods are used to steal money from credit cards including, identity theft, skimming devices, BIN attacks, checker etc.

Remote Controlled Animals

Remote control animals are animals that are controlled remotely by humans. Some applications require electrodes to be implanted in the animal's nervous system connected to a receiver which is usually carried on the animal's back. The animals are controlled by the use of radio signals. The electrodes do not move the animal directly, as if controlling a robot, rather, they signal a direction or action desired by the human operator and then stimulate the animal's reward centres if the animal complies. They can be considered as cyborgs since they combine electronic devices with an organic life form. Because of the surgery required, and the moral and ethical issues involved, there has been criticism aimed at the use of remote control animals. Several species of animals have been successfully controlled remotely. These include moths, beetles, cockroaches, rats, dogfish sharks, mice and pigeons.

In the following, a regular old roach is turned into a cyborg via the attachment of a chip backpack. Wires are surgically connected to its antennae, and then its actions can be controlled. A regular old roach is turned into a cyborg via the attachment of a chip backpack. Some wires are surgically connected to its antennae and then the insect's actions can be controlled. The method is similar to the one used to treat Parkinson's disease and for cochlear implants. The inventors sees the technology as one that will allow insights into how the human brain works. It's also hoped to become a training tool for those pursuing the neurological sciences. The remote controlled cockroach kits are available to buy at low prices. The inventors also took into consideration how the cockroach would feel. As the roach adapts quickly, it's believed that it doesn't experience any trauma when being fitted with the pack.

Face2Face Face Reenactment - The way to manipulate anyone's face

Face2Face is a novel approach for real-time facial reenactment of a monocular target video sequence such as a Youtube video in real-time. The source sequence is also a monocular video stream, captured live with a commodity webcam. They can animate the facial expressions of the target video by a source actor and re-render the manipulated output video in a photo-realistic fashion. At run time, they track facial expressions of both source and target video, and then the reenactment is achieved by an efficient deformation between source and target. Finally, they re-render the synthesized target face on top of the corresponding video stream such that it seamlessly blends with the real-world illumination. They demonstrated their method in a live setup, where Youtube videos are reenacted in real time.

Movie Reshape Software- Change your body shape instantly in the video

Movie Reshape is a system for quick and easy manipulation of the body shape and proportions of a human actor in arbitrary video footage. The approach is based on a morphable model of 3D human shape and pose that was learned from laser scans of real people. The algorithm commences by spatio-temporally fitting the pose and shape of this model to the actor in either single-view or multi-view video footage. Once the model has been fitted, semantically meaningful attributes of body shape, such as height, weight or waist girth, can be interactively modified by the user. The changed proportions of the virtual human model are then applied to the actor in all video frames by performing an image-based warping. By this means, they can now conveniently perform spatio-temporal reshaping of human actors in video footage which shows on a variety of video sequences.
